Thursday, January 31st (98th Day of School)

Yesterday our school had a pow wow. We were lucky enough to join in and learn a few things about dancing and drumming at the end. Here are a few pictures of students participating!

Thursday, January 10th, 2013 (83rd Day of School)

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas holiday! We are back into our daily routine at school. This week we had the priviledge of having an elder, Georgina Musqua in to talk to us about First Nations history. Next week we will have a special visitor in to teach us about drumming and we will even have the opportunity to make some drums similar to what the First Nations people used.

We are getting very close to the 100th day of school. The 100th day of school will land sometime in early February. I will be sending a note home soon about 100th day activities and a special activity that students can do at home with their families prior to the 100th day. Please remember to have your child fill in their 100th day chart at home after each day of school! Thanks!
