The grade 1 students have finished reviewing all their sounds for the last couple weeks. This week we have started working on blend sounds. This week's blends are:
bl (ex- blue, blanket, blocks, black)
sl (ex- sled, slither, slimy, slide, sleep, slippers)
fl (ex- flame, flag, flashlight, fly, flower)
gl (ex- glasses, glove, glue, globe, glass)
cl (ex- clown, cloud, clock, clothes, climb, closet)
pl (ex- plane, plum, plate, plant, play)
Grade 2 Spelling Words are different words ending with y and the different sounds they make:
Y sounding like I
-cry
-by
-shy
-sky
Y sounding like A
-may
-way
-gray
-today
Y sounding like E
-any
-only
-many
-very
